The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)

The LkSG obliges German companies to respect human rights and environmental standards in their global supply chains. The responsibility extends across the entire business sector and all suppliers. It initially came into force on January 1, 2023 for companies with at least 3,000 employees in Germany; since January 1, 2024, it has applied to companies with at least 1,000 employees in Germany.
