Introduction

We reported on our sustainability activities for the 2017 period for the first time. This report offers an up-to-date overview and lists planned measures as well as targets to make both recycling economy and climate neutrality a reality.

Period and scope of our reporting

The reporting period is January 1 to December 31, 2021. Focus is on the packaging area, as this accounts for more than 90 percent of our business activity. Quantitative and qualitative descriptions relate primarily to Jokey SE and Jokey Gummersbach SE as well as to the Jokey Group packaging division. Key figures report on packaging plants and Jokey Werkzeugbau GmbH. We also report selectively on developments from 2022. The follow-up report in 2024 will also include the Spa area.

Principles according to which we report can be found in the chapter “Our sustainability engagement”.

Every company in the Jokey Group reports in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which are included in the consolidated financial statements.

Sustainability consultancy Nextra Consulting GmbH has supported us in applying the GRI standard and preparing the report. Finally, WWF Germany proofread the report.

An external audit of the report has not taken place. The Jokey Sustainability Officer is responsible for the review, based on stakeholder analyses as well as data and findings from specialist departments and Jokey network.
